A Chinese Export Silver Card Case with the story of "Bamboo reports peace", which are the four Chinese characters on the reverse. This message is also on the front with the figure on the left deliverying the letter, or report, to the seated figure in the centre.
Retailed by Wang Hing, and the silversmith is 卓 (Zhuo), circa 1895.
