Japanese Silver Bowl, Meiji period (1868-1912)
A round, double-walled bowl with a wavy rim of beautiful design, the exterior finely embossed and chased in high relief with a three-clawed dragon amidst crashing waves, raised on a plain round base.
With Jungin mark (純銀), which is the Japanese symbol for "fine silver" or "pure silver", meaning it has a silver content of sterling or above.
