A Chinese silver jam or preserve jar, with hinged handle and removable lid, retailed by Luen Wo (联和) of Shanghai circa 1890. The jar is decorated with embossed prunus and the lid is engraved with foliage.
Marked also with '悦昌' (YueChang), a rarely seen maker's mark.
