A Chinese export silver bowl circa 1890, with later blue glass liner. The bowl is pierced and has wonderfully detailed chrysanthemum decoration and sits on a plain collet foot. The retailer's mark is KC for Kwong Ching, '广珍', and there is a a maker's mark of '求記' (Qiu Ji).
Kwong Ching was a retailer about whom little is known but it is thought the firm was in either Hong Kong or Canton from around 1880.
